YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRIES

Young Adults are often a missing group in our Churches. However, it is possible to keep this age group and grow it. They have their own unique needs and challenges.

Missionally the Young Adults Ministry Coach role is focussed on assisting congregations retain the young adults we have, looking at strategies to regain those we have lost and are no longer pursuing a life of faith; as well as suggesting ways to attract new Young Adults to our denomination.

 

The Young Adults Ministry Coach works alongside Senior Pastors and YA Pastors to profile the importance of  valuing and nurturing Young Adults within  the churches and fellowships of our region.   As part of their Regional strategic plan they encourage opportunities for engaging and integrating Young Adults as well as

inter-church networking  for spiritual formation, political/topical development and social wellbeing as well as pointing Pastors to resources that may assist their ministry in their local context.

YOUNG ADULTS

 

Melissa and Myke have been married for 10 years and have a beautiful daughter Violet who turned one in January. They are based in Takanini and attend Eastgate Christian Centre where Myke plays drums in the worship team. Melissa graduated from Carey in 2011 with a Bachelor of Applied Theology and completed the Youth Pastoral Ministry track. She is passionate to see God move in young adults lives and for the Baptist movement to be an example of how church loves and connects with this generation. She is looking forward to hearing from Young Adult Pastors and Leaders, learning from you and developing Kingdom focused strategies that see our young adults living for Christ.
